Last year, we added a new category to our R3000 filter called "Online Communities" -- this category was created to cover the sites such as myspace.com and facebook.com. Prior to creating the Online Communities category, we previously categorized these types of sites into the Dating category. It was the closest category that we had at the time for these kind of sites. After creating the Online Communities category, we added all of these sites to the new category while still keeping them in the Dating category. Since the Online Communities site was only available to customers who upgraded their R3000s to 1.10 release last year, we had to be mindful of the customers who may not have upgraded and thereby may not have the new Online Communities category to use for filtering. Now that over a year has passed, we will be removing the Online Community sites from the Dating category. The Dating category will still remain available in the filter, but these will contain only the sites that arecreated for dating and matchmaking purposes (Match.com, eHarmony.com, etc). Some of the sites that will be removed from the dating category will include: Myspace.comFacebook.comBebo.comOrkut.comStumbleupon.comHi5.comFriendster.com Starting Wednesday, Dec 12th 2007 - these sites will no longer be in the Dating category. No other categorization changes will occur to these sites - They will remain in the Online Communities category (and other respective appropriate categories). They were removed from the Dating category.
