Is my R3000 running out of Memory?

You may verify the memory by running a top command from the R3000 GUI:

In System > Diagnostic > System Command select top (TOP CPU processes) and execute. Below is an example:

Mem: 3104684K av, 3017888K used, 86796K free, 0K shrd, 54504K buffers

Swap: 1048568K av, 51924K used, 996644K free 2344584K cached

Total memory is 3104684K The memory available will be 86796K free + 2344584K cached In other words, the total amount of memory available will be the sum of free and cached memory, so the total amount of free memory in this example is approximately 2.5G.
