How Can I Export/Import Settings from One Filter to Another?

If you wish to take configuration settings and/or library category additions and deletions from one R3000 and upload them to another R3000, then perform the following:

Ensure that all R3000s are running the same software version.  This version can be seen on the Home page in their GUIs, as well as in the bottom right hand corner of the GUI at all times.

 Bring up the GUI for the box whose settings are being copied.  Go to System>Backup/Restore.  Choose whether you wish to save the configuration settings, library changes, or both, and then create the backup.  You can then download this backup to your workstation.

Next, simply bring up the GUI for the box you wish to copy to.  Again, go to System>Backup/Restore.  This time, you will upload the previously saved backup from your workstation to the fresh R3000.  Specify whether the backup file contains configuration settings, library changes, or both.  Finally, select the newly uploaded file on the GUI, and choose Restore.  This will import the settings into the box.

 Please note that settings which are necessarily box-specific, such as IP addresses, hostname, etc. will not be included in these imports/exports.
