The companies also announced the City of Topeka, Kansas as the first joint Proofpoint/8e6 customer.

Under the terms of the agreement, 8e6 will sell Proofpoint's solutions in the North American market and engage in joint marketing programs. Proofpoint has already trained and certified 8e6's sales and technical support staff who will provide professional services, including installation and configuration services as well as first-line customer support to 8e6 customers.
