8e6 Technologies Continues Momentum with Record Breaking Year in 2004, Announcement of New Board Members for '05 Print E-mail

ORANGE, CA -- (May 18, 2005) -- 8e6 Technologies, a leading supplier of Internet Filtering and Reporting Appliances, today announced significant growth in 2004 over 2003 in all areas. In addition, two new board members were introduced at their annual shareholders meeting in late April.

8e6 Technologies’ year-to-year increases in sales booked over 2003 were 28%, 44% and 49% for the last three quarters of 2004. This allowed the company to end the full year with a 30% increase in sales over 2003, and with 9 of the 12 months being record months on a same-month basis.

Critical to 8e6’s 2004 success was the successful launch of the R3000 Enterprise Filter in November of 2003, allowed the company to start 2004 with a completely new flagship product. In addition, 8e6 brought two new products to market in 2004, in addition to a number of smaller feature additions. The TurboPipe NP bandwidth management appliance was launched at the annual Networld+Interop international trade show In Las Vegas in early May, and the R3000 MSA (Mid Sized Appliance) was introduced in October at the Technology and Learning Conference of the National School Board Association.

On April 20, 2005, 8e6 held its Annual Meeting of Shareholders, at the Doubletree Hotel in Orange, California. At that meeting, 8e6’s shareholders elected two new members to 8e6 Technologies’ Board of Directors, McHenry T. Tichenor, Jr. and Ed Myers.

Tichenor is the Chairman of Univision in Dallas, TX, the largest diversified Spanish-language media company in the United States. Prior to his appointment as Chairman, he was the Executive Vice President and was President of the company’s radio division. Tichenor has also served as Chairman, President and CEO of the Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation, and President of Tichenor Media System. He is currently a director of Univision Communications and the Texas Association of Broadcasters, and is active on various boards of the University of Texas at Austin, including the advisory council of the McCombs School of Business.

Myers, Chairman of the Nakoma Group in Irvine, CA, brings more than 41 years in information technology to the 8e6 board. Most recently Myers was Vice President of Operations for Metro Information Services, and prior to this he was CEO and President of D. P. Specialists, Inc. Myers is also the founder of D. P. Specialists of Colorado, Inc.
