Orange, CA, March 9, 2005– 8e6 Technologies, a leading supplier of Internet Filtering and Reporting Appliances, today announced a new pricing program that offers special discounts to customers in the K-12 Education market.

Under the terms of the program, 8e6 customers who purchase or renew filtering subscriptions before July 1, 2005 will receive a special discount of up to 40% off list price. This discount applies to both the hardware purchase (if required) and the filtering subscription. Customers can realize even more discounts through multi-year contracts.

Education customers have very specific and important needs in the filtering area. The Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) signed into law in December of 2000 requires that all schools receiving federal “eRate” Funds implement a filtering technology to protect students from objectionable content on the Internet.
