Solutions Engineer for the Central Region |

The Solutions Engineer will conduct presentations, demos, installation and training on 8e6 Technologies solutions for prospects, customers and resellers. Responsibilities: - Identify customers' needs and sales opportunities to maximize and grow sales.
- Participate in ongoing product development and improvement cycles
- Provide product support at industry trade shows
- Participate in all appropriate product, sales and procedural training and/or certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective Solutions Engineer
- Provide technical sales assistance to the sales team.
- Product Installation and training during the evaluation phase of the sales cycle.
- Maintain technical relationships with current prospects and customers.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Solid verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of data networking (switches, routers, proxy servers, cache engines, firewalls).
- Troubleshooting experience at the network level.
- Experience in any or all the following protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP, SNMP, LDAP
- Hands on command line experience with Unix/Linux based OS is desirable.
- Experience in script development is a plus.
- Familiarity with Directory Services: Active Directory, eDirectory, LDAP
- 50% Travel is required.
- 3+ years experience.
