Solutions Engineer for the Central Region PDF Print E-mail
The Solutions Engineer will conduct presentations, demos, installation and training on 8e6 Technologies solutions for prospects, customers and resellers.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify customers' needs and sales opportunities to maximize and grow sales.
  • Participate in ongoing product development and improvement cycles
  • Provide product support at industry trade shows
  • Participate in all appropriate product, sales and procedural training and/or certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective Solutions Engineer
  • Provide technical sales assistance to the sales team.
  • Product Installation and training during the evaluation phase of the sales cycle.
  • Maintain technical relationships with current prospects and customers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Solid verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of data networking (switches, routers, proxy servers, cache engines, firewalls).
  • Troubleshooting experience at the network level.
  • Experience in any or all the following protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP, SNMP, LDAP
  • Hands on command line experience with Unix/Linux based OS is desirable.
  • Experience in script development is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Directory Services: Active Directory, eDirectory, LDAP
  • 50% Travel is required.
  • 3+ years experience.
