Business Analyst (Product Marketing) PDF Print E-mail
The Business Analyst is a key role within the Product Marketing department that is focused on identifying and documenting the business needs of our Internet Filtering and Reporting customers.  Specifically, the Business Analyst elicits, analyzes, validates and documents product requirements to ensure all 8e6 products are driven by market requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Gathers customer product requirements by conducting customer surveys, focus groups and customer interviews
  • Works in tandem with product manager to formulate prioritized database of product features
  • Creates use cases and UML diagrams for all main features in Marketing Requirements Document
  • Communicates use cases to Engineering team and ensure implementation plans are consistent with requirements in Marketing Requirements Document and Use Cases.
  • Works with Quality Assurance team to ensure QA Test Plans are consistent with Use Cases.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience
  • Experience creating the following types of product documentation:
    • Use cases
    • Customer surveys
    • Marketing requirements documents/product requirements documents
    • Logical process workflows
  • Experience with User Interface intensive software projects
  • Ability to read technical specifications and work with Engineering and QA to communicate proper implementation of the marketing requirements
  • Good working in project/team environment
  • Self-motivated, innovative person with analytical, problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to changes and new ideas.
  • Experience in conducting customer/user interviews
  • Ability to conduct customer surveys and present findings to management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
