Vice President of R&D Engineering

 Russell B. Schumacher is a 20-year industry veteran whose work has been associated with some of the world’s most well-recognized technology companies. As vice president of R&D engineering for 8e6, he is responsible for directing product development, quality assurance, and beta management. Mr. Schumacher previously served as vice president of development and product management for Irvine-based Quest Software. He led a monitoring solutions team of over 130 employees across the U.S. and Australia.

Prior to joining Quest Software, he spent a decade as senior vice president with Fujitsu Business Communication Systems, the enterprise telecommunications equipment subsidiary of Fujitsu Ltd. Mr. Schumacher directed the Product Success Center, which encompassed product marketing, technology research, engineering, quality assurance, and professional services. His prior work experience includes senior management positions with Vision Solutions, Tetra Tech Data Systems, White Storage and Retrieval Systems, and Unisys. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego.
