George Shih's strong leadership and technology expertise have guided 8e6's growth for over ten years, making it one of the industry's most successful Internet filtering companies. As co-founder and CEO, he is responsible for determining the company's strategic direction, mission and vision. Mr. Shih has leveraged his engineering expertise to develop many of the innovative technologies behind 8e6 filtering solutions and also oversees overall operations. He has spent most of his career leading technology companies.

Prior to joining 8e6, Mr. Shih was the founder and president of a multi-million dollar PC fabrication and distribution business. He also held product development and sales leadership positions for several large PC manufacturers. Mr. Shih graduated with a B.A. degree in Electrical Engineering for California Polytechnic Institute, Pomona.
